As property owners on LBI for nearly 10 years, we know what it takes to maintain property at the shore. And with 10 seasons of rentals under our belt we know the stress and anxiety of having guests in your home….especially when you live hours away. That’s why we started LBI Home Services. To be the “guy on the island” that we wish we had. Someone to call for those little (or not so little) problems that pop up.

Who “We” Are

I’ve been working in real estate for about the last 20 yrs in many capacities….from managing the renovation of a 100,000sf office complex to rehabbing residential homes. I’ve been managing every aspect of our beach rentals for 10 seasons, as well as managing a long term rental. I know what it takes to maintain a shore house, especially when it is a vacation rental. I understand and prioritize guests’ experiences especially considering the large sum of money they are paying for their vacation. My primary goal is to help rental property owners maintain their homes when they aren’t local or available. I know the anxiety that comes when the phone rings and it is a renter calling with an issue. I always wished I “had a guy” I could call instead of making the 2 hour drive to the island. I want to be “that guy” for you and your guests. Nobody wants to deal with a clogged toilet or a cold shower on vacation….and they don’t want to wait 3 hours for someone to come from the mainland. I’m right in Beach Haven and can often be on site in minutes not hours or days.
I can do basic carpentry, simple plumbing, replace a light switch… the usual “handyman” stuff. I’m also very tech savvy and can usually sort out issues with TV, internet, appliances, etc. We have a pool at home that I have been maintaining for the past 15 years, so I can check and add chemicals, or do a quick pool cleaning after a storm. I’m not trying to replace a pool service contract with a local company – but if you needed something mid-stay or a guest has an issue, I can typically handle it.
I’m not looking to build a new outdoor shower or replace a window, but if your guest complains that the outdoor shower has no water pressure or that one of your windows is stuck….I’m your guy! I don’t want to build you a new deck, but if a guest says one of your deckboards is loose…that’s a job for me.
